CASB believes that quality public education is the foundation for our nation’s economic prosperity, community’s quality of life,
and every child’s opportunity to live their best life. The following are current events and opportunities for our members:

  • NEW! CASB Boardsmanship Academy
    • Registration is now OPEN!
    • CASB is looking forward to a change in format for the regional meetings next fall, and we hope that board members will find the new format engaging.  CASB has traditionally offered regional meetings at twelve different locations throughout the state and tried—many times unsuccessfully—to find a date that did not conflict with school board meetings in each region.  CASB members also told us that they want board professional development that provides more in-depth content and more opportunity for conversation with peers.  Next fall we will offer sessions on three Saturdays in six different locations and provide an extended period of time for deeper content and meaningful discussion.

The topics will vary by region, but they all focus on students and how school board members can govern effectively to support the students in their districts. Registration will be opening soon, but we wanted you to have a sneak peek of the topics and locations, so you can start planning for the fall. We will be providing lunch, so there will be a minimal cost for attendance. Here are the locations, dates, topics, and presenters that have been confirmed:
