Creating a relationship with the community is one of a school board's most important responsibilities. It is a relationship that should not be left to chance; rather, it should be planned and purposeful.
CASB's Community Relations Services offer school boards communications counsel and targeted services to help boards and their school districts make the important district-community connection.
Each board, as part of its CASB membership, may seek advice from CASB consultants on community relations issues. In addition, CASB periodically publishes community relations tools for all member districts.
In addition, CASB provides the following services to help boards strengthen the district-community relationship.
- Communications Audit
- Community Engagement
- Communicating about School Finance
- Blueprint for Education Communication Engagement Toolkit
- H1N1 Resources
