CASB offers statewide conferences, regional meetings, workshops and its annual convention to provide members with useful knowledge and tools to strengthen their governance role. Conferences and convention also give members valuable time to interact and learn from each other. Below is a list of CASB’s annual conferences.
CASB Annual Convention (early December—4-days which includes preconvention)
Colorado Springs, The Broadmoor Hotel
Our largest and most comprehensive conference, more than 1,000 CASB members come from around Colorado to learn from prestigious keynote speakers and enlightening breakout sessions. Many board members also take this time to interact with each other and learn from one another’s experiences.
Winter Legislative Conference (February—2 days)
Focuses on major issues affecting legislation and other public policy issues. Attendees also have an opportunity to have lunch with legislators and visit the Capitol.
Legislative Debrief Meetings (May—luncheon meetings)
Informal luncheons to thank members for all their hard work this legislative session, give a retrospective of what happened under the gold dome and start laying the groundwork for the 2015 session.
Fall Conference & Delegate Assembly (October—2-days)
Pueblo Marriott and Convention Center
Focuses on a specific topic of importance to board members each year. Delegate Assembly is held on the Saturday morning of Fall Conference.
CASB Fall Regional Meetings (September and October—evening meetings plus two lunch meetings)
