In the heart of northern Colorado, located only a short drive from the Mile High City of Denver and beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park, the Greeley area is a vibrant community of 125,000. A university town with a rich history, Greeley has a small town feel and big city amenities. The area has strong agricultural roots, is an agribusiness center and has large private sector employers in the insurance, medical, energy development and food processing sectors. The area sits at the confluence of the Cache La Poudre and the South Platte rivers and offers a plethora of entertainment and recreational activities; nationally recognized jazz and blues festivals, the world’s largest 4th of July rodeo and parade, hiking on the Poudre River Trail, biking, water sports and golf courses. Ski areas and other high country activities are a day-trip away, include snowshoeing, hiking, backpacking and river sports. Innovation, choice and excellent instruction guide the focus on students and their educational success in Greeley-Evans School District 6. The district is the 13th largest district in the state of Colorado with 20,165 students. District 6 is considered a leader in the state in many areas, including the professional development we offer staff, the instructional and curriculum changes we have implemented to meet state standards, organizational effectiveness and efficiency, and the incredible number of choices we offer our students.
Qualifications: The Board of Education, with input from staff and communities, have identified qualities, skills and experiences needed for the next superintendent. The Board of Education desires a superintendent who is a visionary leader, has a passion for the success of all students willingness to live within district boundaries, demonstrates excellent communication skills, shows a track record of building positive relationships, exhibits an approachable, collaborative and positive leadership style, appreciates and values diversity is visible and engaging inside the district and in the community, demonstrates successful leadership experience, will make tough decisions and follow-through, and has a record of strong financial management. Salary: The Board of Education is offering a minimum salary of $185,000. A district benefits package will be provided. Date of employment: No later than July 1, 2015

The Holyoke School District Re-1J is accepting applications for superintendent. The Board of Education, staff and community are seeking a visionary leader and strong communicator with a track record of utilizing collaboration with staff and community to achieve goals.
