The Colorado Association of School Boards seeks to add an attorney to its current salaried attorney staff of three. The right candidate will be committed to working in public education and have at least exposure to education law. Responsibilities include serving as a resource for member boards of education seeking assistance on general legal matters, keeping members apprised of current legal issues affecting Colorado schools, working with other agencies and advocacy groups, and working with other attorneys on litigation, policy work, and legal research.
Requirements: Admission to a state bar and willingness to seek admission to the Colorado Bar; experience, exposure and/or demonstrated interest in public education or public sector law; outstanding writing and presentation skills; willingness to work collaboratively; ability to handle multiple matters and adjust workloads to accommodate unexpected projects and deadlines; and genuine desire to work with people to improve public education.
Salary: Dependent on experience. Commitment: To begin immediately.

Senior Director of School Services

The Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI) is a statewide charter school authorizer whose mission is to foster high-quality public school choices offered through charter schools, particularly schools that are focused on closing the achievement gap for at-risk students. CSI is currently seeking qualified candidates to apply to serve as its Senior Director of School Services. Starting salary range is low to mid $80,000.
